Scrawlgrapher, rocket, space technology, noosphere, park, Dnipro, aviation... What do you have in common ?! At first glance, nothing. But I realized that the puzzle was formed when saw a competition from the All-Ukrainian art initiative Noosphere Art Rocket Park.

After all, the competition was to create an art rocket design for Gagarin Park in the city of Dnipro.

I definitely decided to participate for several reasons:

1. I have seen a similar project in Kyiv many years ago. Different artists decorated Easter eggs in different styles. And then I dreamed that my design would be presented in a similar project. And this competition is a chance to make your dream come true.

2. I have an aviation education and taught at the Aerospace Institute of the National Aviation University (Kyiv). I am a fan of aviation, flight and space. And this is a chance to plunge back into your favorite business.

3. I recently became an artist-scrawlgrapher and have interesting ideas for rocket design. In addition, it was at that time that I began studying for Lisa Stormitt's course on creating art projects. And this is a chance not only to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, but also to show my ideas to the world.

4. The noosphere is an organization that promotes the development of technology, including and space in Ukraine. And I admire their work as a teacher, as a mother of boys, and as a fan of aviation. And this is a chance to work with them.

5. I come from Dnipropetrovsk region, namely from Kryvyi Rih, and I already thought that I want to implement one of the projects in my native land. And this is a chance to leave my artistic mark on the Motherland.

6. The park is named after Gagarin, who was not only a pilot and astronaut, but also a creative, cheerful man who went to his dream despite all obstacles. I admire such people. And this is a chance to "get closer" to the idol of many people.

7. The missiles will be exhibited in a park located on the territory of Dnipro National University. It is named after Oles Honchar, who trained specialists for the rocket and space industry. And this is my chance to be involved in the creation of the rocket. It will not fly, but it is material. And I believe that it will inspire some of the future professionals to create something revolutionary new.

8. The rockets will be sold at a charity auction, and the funds raised from the sale will be used to build a sports and children's playground in the park. And I, as a mother and a supporter of a healthy lifestyle, understand the importance of implementing this project. And this is my chance to be involved in the sports development of children and youth.

I sent 2 sketches to the competition (see the beginning of the article). They are very similar visually, but very different technologically and conceptually.

The more technological sketch of the rocket won! And there is an interesting work ahead on its implementation. I will tell you soon how the work on this project will go.
